A few updates from the bar

Things are starting to take shape behind the scenes—a lot is happening quietly, but steadily.

The short version: the bar is real, and it’s getting closer.

We’ve been spending time in the space—measuring, sketching, reworking ideas, and trying to get the small details right before anything gets built. It still looks like the old room, but it’s starting to feel like something else.

We’re also beginning to shape how it will actually work:

• What it sounds like — Making sure the acoustics work for both the music and conversation
• How it feels to sit in the room — The vibe, sightlines, and comfort of being in the space
• Where the bar lands — Positioning it so it’s a natural hub without blocking movement
• How close you are to the music — Finding the right distance between the stage and where people gather

We’ve hired a general contractor and are aiming to start demo in the next few weeks.

From there, construction will take a few months. We’ll keep the homepage and email list updated as the real timing firms up.

For now, we just keep moving.
